Night with our Stars

• Held in March each year at Westbooks Children's Book Centre. This event is open to the public in which WA authors and illustrators each speak for 3 minutes about their latest work/publications. More

Children’s Book Discussion Group

• This group meets 4th Wednesday of each month to discuss books or issues relating to children's literature. More

Judge's talks on the Shortlist

• Between the release of the Book of the Year Awards Shortlist in early April and the announcement of Winning and Honour books at the start of Children’s Book Week in August, the WA Judge conducts a series of talks on the shortlisted books. Two public events are held. More

Celebrity Shortlist Brunch

• A public event over a late breakfast where local 'celebrities' are invited to review books from the Shortlist. A Bunbury group also hosts a local brunch. More

Children's Book Week Dinner

• An annual dinner is held on the Friday night preceding Children's Book Week to celebrate the Book of the Year Awards and hold the official opening ceremony. More

Education Program

• CBCA WA committee members are conducting a seminar program for students in education courses in WA universities. More
